Fast Forward Grants Programme 2005-2006

Application Packs for Fast Forward Grants will be available from 1st April, with a deadline for receipt of applications at 5pm on Friday 27th May.

Fast Forward Grants, the London ESF Global Grants Programme, provides grants up to £10,000 to small voluntary and community organisations, or other non-governmental organisations, to run projects which will help unemployed people move towards employment.

The grants are targeted at those who face the most difficulty in entering the labour market, particularly those who face a number of barriers. Previous projects have helped people with disabilities, lone parents, the very long-term unemployed, black and ethnic minority groups and refugees and asylum seekers with permission to work.

Eligibility Criteria

Your organisation will be eligible for a grant if you are a small non-governmental organisation particularly in the community and voluntary sector and

-          You have a written constitution or set of rules, formally adopted by 31 May 2004 with your own bank account

-          You have no more than 2 full-time paid staff or the equivalent and had no more than £60,000 income in the last complete financial year.

(Individuals cannot apply)

Your proposed project will be eligible if the actions help some of the most disadvantaged unemployed people move towards employment, through advice, training, confidence building, or in other ways.  The most disadvantaged unemployed people include disabled people, lone parents, black and ethnic minority people subject to particular disadvantage and refugee and asylum seekers with permission to work and ex-offenders.  (Please note:  grants are not given to cover the normal running costs of the organisations, only for costs which are directly related to eligible projects)
