HVA is committed to providing fundraising support to voluntary and community organisations in many ways including. There are a number of services that HVA provides for community groups to increase their success in fundraising for projects. Please contact HVA for any additional info. Grant Programmes
HVA run a number of grant programmes and we are constantly informing voluntary and community groups of existing funding opportunities to take advantage of. The quickest method for receiving up-to-date information on funding is to register with the HVA E-news bulletin. We also put some of the different grant programmes on our website.
Fundraising Courses
HVA run a number of fundraising courses for you to learn about the different aspects of fundraising. Courses on Developing a Fundraising Strategy and raising finance from the Corporate Sector are the most popular but HVA runs a variety of courses that will improve your funding ability and capabilities. Meet the Funders
HVA runs sessions where different funders give a presentation of their current grant programmes and go through a funding application with attendees. These are FREE. To view upcoming session click here
One-2-One Consultations
Our team of development officers are available to provide support and advice on general funding issues or specific funding questions eg looking over an application before you submit it. In addition to general one-2-one appoinments, HVA from time to time will run Funding Surgeries for groups submitting applications for a particular fund or programme. Contact us to make an appointment or you can complete an online form and someone will be in contact with you.
Funding Surgeries
HVA runs funding surgeries for community and voluntary groups for support with existing application.
Resource Centre
The HVA resource centre is open to groups to make use of the extensive facilities. This includes:
- the HVA Library with over 500 books to read and a lending library service for HVA member organisations. Books including fundraising directories and guides, support for trustees and the management committee, IT, governance, finance books and many more. HVA also subscribe to a number of publications including Third Sector, Professional Fundraising, Charity Funding Report, Regeneration and renewal and many more.
- FunderFinder. This is a software that increases efficient selection of potential funders in minutes. It does this by using your organisation's details, aims, and projects and selects funders that would be interested in funding them.
- Free Computer and Internet Access
- Practical facilities like photocopying, printing, scanning, laminating, and binding documents for a neat professional finish. Please note that for some of these services there is a small charge and fair use policy in place. For some costs click here
