Our Objectives:

• To promote and support voluntary action and involvement, and community activity by individuals and organised groups within Hackney.
• To promote good practice and so enable the voluntary and community sectors to operate more effectively and efficiently.
• To provide support to the whole sector, ensuring fair and equal representation.
• To enable individuals wishing to undertake voluntary activity to make choices based on sound information and advice.
• To improve networking across the sector and promote openness and information sharing between voluntary groups and other partners.
• To build capacity within the voluntary sector.
• To enable the involvement of the whole of the community and voluntary sector in the development of the LB Hackney Compact.
